Award Service Montage

Student Photo Montage

At Calvary, we encourage every student to live out our College expectations: be kind, be fair, and be your best self, guided by Micah 6:8, “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” In Junior School, being your best self can look different for every child—trying your hardest in class, encouraging a friend on the playground, showing courage in swimming lessons, or using your talents in music or sport.

We also know that many of our students are showing their best selves beyond the classroom—whether that’s playing in a weekend sport team, serving at church, helping at home, or caring for a sibling. To celebrate this, our upcoming Awards Assembly will feature the “Living Micah 6:8 Photo Challenge.” This will give us the opportunity to acknowledge all the wonderful ways our children are growing in kindness, fairness, and faith.

If you would like your child to be included, please send a photo of them “Living Micah 6:8” to the

Drop Box Carbrook

Please note to use your child's first and last name when adding your photo.

We look forward to celebrating together how God is shaping each of our students to shine brightly in all areas of their lives.

Head of Community & Wellbeing, Carbrook Junior School - Zoe O'Donnell

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful week it has been in the Junior School! We were blessed to hear our 2026 Captaincy Speeches, where students shared their heart for service and leadership. It was inspiring to see how deeply they care for our community and how they are growing in the confidence and character needed to lead with integrity and faith.

Our Performing Arts Assembly was another highlight, reminding us of the many ways God has gifted our students. Students performed both as soloists and in ensembles, their dedication to the music program clearly evident.

Weeks like this remind us that when students use their gifts for God’s glory and serve one another in love, our community truly flourishes.

Calling Parent Helpers

We’re looking for parents who can assist with ironing or steaming decals onto our Junior School Celebration shirts. If you’re available to help on Thursday 13 or Friday 14 November (Week 6) and/or Thursday 20 or Friday 21 November (Week 7), or if you’re happy to take some home to complete, please contact Zoe at zoe.odonnell@calvarycc.qld.edu.au.

Junior School Playground Upgrade

An exciting new playground space for our lower junior school students will begin construction next week.

The playground will replace the existing timber structures outside the Learning Inquiry Centre and adjacent to Kingdom Kids.  This space will follow a nature-based theme, with organic softfall and extensive sand pit.  The centre piece of the play space will be an elevated platform that will be covered by a hard roof.  This playground will be covered by shade sails.

Unfortunately, we will need to close the footpath that leads from Kingdom Kids into the school grounds.  The alternative access will be the footpath on the carparking side of this same area which leads to the deck of the Culbert building and around in front of the Wellbeing space in the Mike Millard building to reach the Learning Inquiry Centre, Junior School and OSHC space.

We appreciate your support as we develop this exciting new space.
