Head of Community & Welfare, Junior School - Zoe O'Donnell
Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy week 3. I am writing this during a quiet moment from Canberra with our year 6 cohort, who are experiencing the Nation’s Capital through hands-on experience. This camp is a milestone with many of students sharing with us that they have been excitedly anticipating this camp since they began their schooling journey at Calvary.
As we focus on resilience this term in the Junior School, I have been reminded that when we set the bar high for our students, they often Surprise us with the way they can meet and exceed our expectations. This has been no different with the camp providing challenge for many of us in different ways, our students have been given a chance to feel uncomfortable and challenged but they have also been given the tools and support to work through those challenges.
Prep - Stage1 Athletics Morning

Lambing Season 2025 at Calvary
There’s nothing quite like the joy of lambing season at Calvary! Each year, our community eagerly awaits the arrival of new life on the farm, and while 2025 brought a smaller flock than usual, it was no less special. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at this year’s lambing season and the precious new additions to our Calvary family.

Police Visits on Site
The College was recently contacted by the Logan Police Department about a new initiative that they will be implementing in Term 3 and possibly extending into Term 4. The initiative will involve Police parking onsite at various schools or colleges in the area and engaging with P-plate and L-plate drivers by performing randomised licence inspections and breathalyser tests in a controlled, safe, and familiar setting.
The College is supporting this initiative as a means of providing our students with an educational experience aimed at gaining valuable real-life experience to prepare them for future interactions with the Police. We have informed our Middle and Senior School students about this initiative, aimed at educating young drivers, during assembly this week.
