ANZAC Day Springwood RSL March
Friday 25 April
ANZAC Day is a special day for reflecting on the bravery and leadership of those who serve and protect our country, past and present.
To mark this important day, Calvary Junior School warmly invites all students and families (including MSS siblings) to join us for the Springwood ANZAC Day March on Friday, 25 April 2025.
Our Year 6 Captains will proudly carry wreaths and the school banner as we walk together along Cinderella Drive to the ANZAC stone in the park, where the commemorative service will begin at 8:20am.
Participants are asked to meet at the Community Centre on Cinderella Drive by 7:15am, with the march commencing at 7:45am. Students should wear their full formal school uniform, including their formal hat. Please also bring an umbrella for sun protection or in case of rain.
PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR WET WEATHER
ANZAC Day Service

Due to the predicted rain the ANZAC Day Service was postponed to Monday 28 April. We warmly invite all families to join us for our annual ANZAC Day service, which will take place at the ANZAC Lawns. The service will begin at 10:15am. This is a meaningful opportunity for our community to come together to honour and remember those who have and are currently serving.

Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Term 2!
I hope all our families enjoyed a restful and refreshing Easter break. As we begin this new term, I’m excited for the learning, growth, and joy ahead.
Our students will be diving into our Sustainability unit, a concept founded on the stewardship of God’s beautiful Creation which always sparks deep conversations and ideas that lead to action. It will be a term of building friendships through involvement in co-curricular activities and particularly for our Year 5 students as they go on Camp in June.
I look forward to seeing our children embrace new learning and new challenges with confidence.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership—it truly makes a difference in our school community. I look forward to a fantastic term together.
ID Cards
Your student will have brought home with them their new ID Cards. These cards are used at our Student Sign In/Out Laptop in the Reception Area. Please ensure your child has this card stored in their school bag to that they have them on hand to use the system.
Term 2 Units of Inquiry - Sustainability
This term our students will be researching Sustainability. Please see below the unit outlines for each Stage.
