Dear Parents and Carers,  

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for this week’s Parent Information Evening. At this event we shared details about our updated expectations for students were shared in light of our aspirations for Calvary students to: Act Justly (be fair), Love Mercy (be kind), and Walk Humbly (be my best self). Mr. Wilson (Deputy Headmaster of the Middle and Senior School) provided context for these expectations, highlighting how instilling these virtues and behaviours in our students contributes to making both Calvary and the wider world a better place. Along with other operational matters, we also discussed how we can partner with parents/carers to help our students navigate the online world more safely.

As part of this, we are excited to share a valuable resource designed to support you and your children in developing healthy digital habits. Our Parent Resource Page provides app reviews, conversation guides, and practical tools to promote online safety. You can access it here: Online Safety Hub.

Additionally, we encourage all parents to register for our Qustodio parent app, which offers greater control over student laptop access outside school hours. YEAR 7 – 10 CAMPS

Our Year 7 – 10 students will travel to various camps on 19 February 2025.

Parents are reminded that our camp program is considered an essential element of our curriculum where student character development, friendships and rapport with staff are developed. An email from the College will be sent to parents/carers requiring confirmation of student attendance at camps. When responding to this email please note that parents will need to click the green button and follow the prompts that follow.  

ACCESSING COMMUNICATIONS, LEARNING PROGRESS, AND ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Our key channels of communication are the College App, website, MSS Facebook page and email. Every Thursday we publish our MSS Communications on the website and College App. Communications contain important information about school life and upcoming events.

Parent Lounge (accessible via the website and App) is where you can update your details, child’s medical data, etc. Across the semester, we would like to strongly encourage parents to access the ‘Curricular Activities’ section of Parent Lounge as this is where you will find our ongoing feedback on your child’s learning progress across the semester and report cards. All other pertinent information should be accessible in the Parent Information section on our website.

UNIFORM SHOP UPDATES

Uniform Carbrook Campus 

The uniform shop, which is located on the Carbrook campus, will be open on

Mondays and Wednesdays 7:45am – 9:00am and 1:00pm - 2:00pm and 2:30pm - 4:00pm.

It will also be open fortnightly on Tuesdays 7:45am - 9:00am (Weeks 3,5,7,9 this term).

Online Orders

Orders can be placed online any time. An email notification will be sent when your order is ready for collection. Collection is from the campus you nominate.

Exchange/return requests can be dropped to reception on either campus any time. Once the exchange has been processed an email notification will be sent.

Springwood: Orders will be delivered in a sealed bag with your child’s name and class on it to the child’s classroom.

Year 12 Formal

Hi Families! The countdown is on—our Year 12 Formal is happening next Friday, 7 February, at 5:00 PM at the stunning Sanctuary Cove Country Club, Gleneagles Drive, Hope Island.

Join us as we livestream the arrivals on our Calvary Instagram account from 5:00 PM. If you'd like to experience the excitement in person, you're also welcome to come along and watch the arrivals live!

2026 Scholarship Applications

Calvary offers scholarships for either Academic Excellence or Excellence (in Sport, Music or other cocurricular contribution e.g. Show Team, Debating).

Academic and Excellence Scholarships are available for 2026. Scholarships recognise students’ exceptional performance and contributions to our community.

The exams are held at the College Carbrook campus on Saturday 1 March 2025.
