Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Term 3!
I hope all our families had time over the holidays to connect and make great memories together.
While everyone was holidaying, a few jobs were done around the school. You may have noticed the bright new shade sails over the nine square outside of The Hub, we have several new handball courts painted around the Undercover Area, and our Staffroom and First Aid rooms had a little renovation.
Semester Reports
Junior School Reports will be accessible via the Parent Lounge (through the website or Calvary app) tomorrow, Friday 14 July from 5.00pm. Please ensure you book in your Parent/Teacher Interview for next week to discuss your child’s progress and goals for Semester 2. Booking close midnight Sunday 16 July. Email your child’s class teacher if you cannot make the dates provided to arrange a suitable time.
Information regarding the structure and some updates to reports can be found below;
Term 3 Tuckshop Volunteers
Thank you to those parents who have nominated to be on the Term 3 roster for Tuckshop. There are still a few weeks of the term where we need a few more helpers. If you are available, even once this term, on a Monday between 10.30–11.30am or Friday from 8.30-11.30am, please send through your availability via this form and Sheryl will be in contact with you.
Semester 2 Clubs!
We are very excited about the new clubs starting up this Semester.
Debating and Public Speaking competitions are in full swing. Athletics Club has been replaced with Volleyball training after school on Tuesdays, in preparation for upcoming competitions. A new Drama club is starting on Mondays, and lots of our favourite clubs such as JAG, Chess and Missions are continuing.
Teachers have gone through the options with the students and we encourage parents to also chat at home with your child about the different clubs they would like to try out. Clubs are a great place to make new friends and discover gifts and interests we never know are there until we step into the right environment and try. Check out the Term 3 clubs options using the link below.
Science Week
This term, we will be holding a Calvary Science Competition in the Junior School.
We encourage the students in Prep to Stage 3 to participate with an age-appropriate science investigation. Students will have the opportunity to share their investigation with their peers during our Science Week, Week 4 of Term 3. Be on the lookout for further information soon.
Well, it has been a great start to the new term. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone around campus again as it unfolds.
